Simulation Design of Dental Practice Medical Waste Management Using Dynamic System Model Approach

Medical waste from dental practice is harmful to life and the environment. Previous studies reported that total medical solid generated by practices in Pekanbaru City was 4.62 kg/day with an average of 0.3 kg ± 0.07 kg/day. Based on type generated, 69% infectious waste, 27% toxic 4% radioactive waste. The purpose study analyze environmental costs incurred dentists using several scenarios management policy intervention. method used a simulation model dynamic system approach. Simulations were carried out 2018 2047. results obtained percentage reduction for 30 years, it found combination providing training cooperation party had largest decrease 41.9%. biggest combined scenario 99.69%, followed 99.62% 19.5% training. most effective self-care 3 because can reduce also costs.
